A vision for a better future

photography for humanity

I've always been an artist intrinsically, yet growing up in the United States artistry was never viewed as a real and tangible life path. From my parents/teachers/counselors/peers, artistry was always viewed as some kind of extra curricular activity. At best a talent worth cultivating for its own sake and at worst a path that would lead towards a life of little value unless you were one of the few rich artists that mattered.

Instead of listening to what others told me I did what I do best, I forged my own path.

Against the current

Growing up as a young child I was raised practically and with a work oriented mindset. For most of my young life, art wasn't even an idea of something I would pursue. It was just something I was good at when I practiced it, which was never enough. It wasn't until I discovered design, and began to envision a life creating practical art, that the idea of being a creative of any kind took hold.

It was just something I was good at when I practiced it, which was never enough. It wasn't until I discovered design, and began to envision a life creating practical art, that the idea of being a creative of any kind took hold.

From Humble Beginnings

I started my first artistic business when I was 17 years old, working in graphic design at the time. Eventually attending college for design after graduating high school, but my mental health was a consistent and relentless battle against exhaustion and executive dysfunction. Between doubting my abilities as an artist and human, to the modern woe of existing in the US as a young adult struggling with autism and adhd, finding my place in this life seemed a hopeless endeavor. The next few years saw me in and out of college, while working manual labor jobs and ridesharing in order to fund my new pursuit, photography.

Which eventually led to my career as a photographer and my purpose here:

The divine purpose of creation

I am an artist. I was born to create. My purpose in this life is to make imagination reality, or transform reality into imagination. It wasn't until I grew into my 28th year that I actually viewed myself as such. Realizing my purpose lay in creation was a deeply spiritual experience for me, and has emboldened my metamorphosis towards enlightenment.

A New path forward

Photography with A purpose

Before now, my photography had always been a means to an end, I needed money to survive in our society. This fact hasn't changed, but in parallel to my shift in perspective on my inner truth, I had a shift in perspective on how I wanted to view my photography as well. What gave me real joy, what made me want to live, was the fact that my work meant something to someone. Yes the money was desperately needed as I have been poor through my young adult life, even when needing the support of my parents, but I could make money doing other things.

What mattered was the emails/letters/messages I would get, the kind words of those who saw my value when they hired me.

The fact that my work had real meaning to others, is what drives me to continue.

Pay What You Can Afford

My new philosophy for my photography. The value behind my work is not determined by the dollar amount, but upon the skill of its creation and the purpose it serves. In this way I have the ability to share and hone my abilities with everyone that sees the value of my work. I want to work with people who see the effort I put into a better and more loving world. That means accepting work whenever I can, because everyone in this life deserves beautiful photography, not just those who can afford it.

for humanities enlightenment

IF I am available i would love to work with you

With purpose in art blending with the current of our times I aim to use my talents to create as much art as I can in my lifetime. To help humanity connect on a new and deeper level, and to help shape our future into one of hope and beauty. What matters most is what you do with your time. and I never regret my time spent on creation. Yet now as I step into my own as an artist, I've found I want to help other artists. Know that if you support my work, it all goes towards my life's goal of uplifting fellow artists who are also finding their way in our society.
